We were delighted to be asked by Skyhawk Global to design and build a new website. Skyhawk are based in The Business Centre in Barry and specialise in bioremediation (using natural bugs to breakdown oils, toxins and other industrial waste) and natural cleaning products.

We were delighted to be asked to build an ecommerce website for Vinylize Printing & Embroidery who are located in Barry in the Vale of Glamorgan. Vinylize specialise in a range of products including custom printing of t shirts, hoodies, banners, roller banner stands and canvas prints. They also embroider clothing for sports teams and businesses.
We worked closely with owner Tony Peters to understand the needs of his business. With a vast range of thousands of products, it was decided to focus upon his best sellers for his first website. The site was built using WordPress which means that Tony and his team can update themselves easily and they can add unlimited products and categories in the future.
We also provided the initial SEO work which resulted in the website appearing at the top of Google for target key phrases within a week of the launch which is a great start.

Google have given us plenty of notice that they will be including mobile speed as part of their ranking criteria from July 2018. We know that website speed has been important but Google has focused upon desktop website speed until now.
Google are calling this the “Speed Update” and are encouraging website owners to check how their website performs on mobile devices. Websites which are particularly slow will be likely to be penalised in terms of dropping in their search result positions. This is understandable as we all know how frustrating it is when a website takes forever to load. This problem is worse for users who may be out and about and not be able to use a strong internet connection.

Cardiff business woman Alison Jones asked us to build an advertising platform for her new start up business which is called Max Your Stay. Alison was clear that she wanted the website to look upmarket and contemporary. Her target are tourism, leisure & beauty companies who wish to promote special offers, hot deals or upgrades. Alison’s research indicated that many small business owners were fed up of paying companies like Groupon up to 40% of the price charged. There is a clear gap in the market for more cost effective solution.
At present Max Your Stay offers free 12mth advertisements to enable the website to build critical mass. Later in 2017 the website will introduce a reasonable annual fee to enable companies to list their offers throughout the year.
Last year I was asked to meet with Richie Clayton and Richard Herbert who had a really interesting idea for an international golfing website. Richie is a businessman who is an avid golfer and runs his own golf society. Richard is a professional golf pro based near Swansea. Together they make a good team and their idea of a ‘One Stop Shop’ for golfers was intriguing. They had identified a gap in the market and had some really great ideas for their new website business.
Over the months we worked together and gradually Generation Golfer was designed and built. This unique website offers golfing fans around the world the opportunity to meet new friends using their own social networking platform, share jokes and fun stories and they can also search for special offers and browse golfing suppliers.
The website was launched in the Autumn 2016 and it’s growth has been outstanding. Within a week of it’s launch the traffic was so high that it had to be moved onto a dedicated server. Each month the website attracts more visitors and enquiries from around the world. We are continuing to work closely with Generation Golfer as they have exciting new plans to develop the business further in 2017.
